There are two animated shorts in a new epsiode of Löwenzahn (a german children’s TV series) for which I did the character & background design. One shortfilm is about lucky charms and the other one is about synapses and what happens inside the brain when we feel emotions.

They were directed and animated by Linus Stetter and Thilo Kienle.
The movie about lucky charms also features some extra character designs by the great Marcus Schäfer.

You can watch the entire episode (in german) here on tivi.de. The short about lucky charms can also be watched separately here.

Berlin

Hostel Stralsund Flyer

Here’s an illustration I did for the flyer of the Hostel Stralsund.
It’s the place where the participants of the Skizzenfestival usually stay (which takes place every year from July 20th to 30th). The hostel team asked me to draw an illustration for their new flyer and I was happy to do so.

You can check out their website here, it’s quite a  nice  awesome place to stay.

Mantis Shrimp
Here’s an older drawing I never posted. It was inspired by the WNYC’s Radiolab episode about Light. That episode features the mantis shrimp as having the most advanced eyes of all animals on earth.
It’s pretty fascinating, if you don’t know the podcast you can check it out here.

THE STRANGEST ANIMALS IN THE WORLD#1 - Mantis Shrimp
Mantis shrimp can see polarized and ultraviolet light and see threedimensional even with only a single eye (that’s because of the double-bulged shape of the eye).
They are known to be quite aggressive. Some species have club-equipped forearms which they use to smash their prey’s shell or even to destroy aquarium walls if held captive.
